I had a chance to visit the opening of Homing In on friday night at The Quint Gallery in La Jolla – it was a pretty good show. The usual suspects, Neo Linear Decoist, Micheal Armstrong (or whatever he calls it) and his cronies were there and it was great seeing my old photo professor Phillip Ritterrman there. I was pleasantly surprised to see one of his pieces hanging up and I got to talk with him for a while (hopefully i hadn’t had to much to drink by that time). I don’t know who hired the band but it might have well been me sitting on a stool singing cheesy pop songs all night – no good, not for this ultra-critical crowd. I really like the poster and wish that I could have designed it. You should go take a look at the show – its open ’till July 11th

arrowchitectural decograf. “neo linear decoist…(or whatever he calls it)”. i’m curious, was that a subtle jab?
hardly my “cronies”, i’ve never shown with any of that crowd before. but interesting nonetheless that you’d include me as a usual suspect – hmmm.
i definitely have to agree about the band.
No need to clarify, it was a subtle jab. I’m hardly an art critique – either way I like your work.
‘usual suspect’ referred the likeliness that I would see you at the Quint (not necessarily in the show, however I was pleased to see your piece in the hall) and ‘cronies’ was referencing the small group that you stand around with.
What band? Oh, you mean the Blip & Alfie Band? -they’re great aren’t they?
you’ve seen me at the gallery – have we met?
I haven’t met you but I’ve seen you enough to know who you are – My friend Max used to work with you at MCASD and I’m also good friends with Michelle at the Quint. Our circles tend to overlap.
ahh yes, max – i remember him. indeed, it’s always a small world. well, next time you see me, you should introduce yourself.
Absolutely – add me to your mailing list, I’d love to come to your next show.
